This piece uses a periscope to create a spatial distancing to address our relationship to our waste and the landfill. Concealed and distanced by a 12' tower, one can peer inside a small screw hole to witness the everyday processing of waste in the public disposal area at the Recology San Francisco facility through a monitor placed on the top of the tower.
